LISA Academy Alternative Methods of Instruction Plan

  •  January 08, 2018

In the event that LISA Academy schools need to close due to exceptional or emergency circumstances such as a contagious disease outbreak, inclement weather, utility outage, or other acts of God, LISA Academy may determine that the days will be addressed as AMI days. On these Alternative Methods of Instruction days, as approved by the Arkansas Department of Education, students will be given assigned work to complete at home in lieu of a make-up day being added to the school year. If a day is designated as an AMI school day, students may access the required instructional content by logging into the students’ Google Classroom accounts and entering the AMI classrooms. To be counted present for the day, students must log into their LISA Academy Google Accounts and access all Inclement Weather classrooms. Once the student has entered the required AMI classrooms for their building, they will need to complete all assignments posted by the teachers that they would normally be scheduled to see for that day. ***Please Note*** Middle School Students will need to access both of the following classrooms: "MS Inclement Weather (Core Classes) - Alternative Method of Instruction Days" "MS Inclement Weather (Non Core Classes) - Alternative Method of Instruction Days" High School Students will only have one Inclement Weather Classroom to access. Notification regarding school cancellations will be communicated on the school website, through local television stations, email and automated phone messages.
